The Catholic200SG Festival will cap the anniversary celebrations. It will be held from 4 to 11 December 2021 around the locality of the Cathedral Of The Good Shepherd, where the early Catholics settled and built Churches.
Catholic200SG Festival will consist of mini-events and activities, held mainly at the Cathedral Of The Good Shepherd, St Peter and Paul Church, Catholic Centre and St Joseph’s Church (Victoria Street), and other locations during this period. These are still being planned, and the major groups of activities are described below.
OVERVIEW OF THE 8-DAY CATHOLIC200SG FESTIVAL
From visual arts, films, walking tours, talks, spiritual activities and discovering the talent among us, we have an exciting line-up!
An exhibition that brings together the artworks of the winners and finalists of two key Christian art events: the Angelico Art Awards (a biennial Christian painting competition held in 2016, 2018 and 2020) and FaithWorks (an exhibition of three-dimensional art pieces first held in 2019). Be inspired by artworks reflecting Christian themes that recount the wonders and beauty of our faith, as seen through the eyes of the artists.
Feast of Music
A showcase of Catholic musical talent, a celebration of the diversity of music that inspires one and all to share in the mission of Christ and His Church. All Catholic individuals and groups are invited to submit music videos of covers or original works. Finalists will perform at the Catholic200SG Festival on 11 December 2021.
