Beyond the Catholic200SG official events and activities, many Catholic organisations and groups are organising events in support of Catholic200SG and incorporating themes of the Church’s 200th anniversary into their activities. Here are some of them.

Church of the Sacred Heart celebrates Easter with a livestream, including the inimitable Fr Stephen Yim speaking with humour and giving away Catholic200SG souvenirs.

CHARIS Partners: Congratulatory messages

LSS: Free 2022 Registration

Little Shepherds’ Schoolhouse, which runs all the Catholic preschools in Singapore, waives registration fees for Year 2022 intake in celebration of Catholic200SG.

SSVP: Day of Recollection

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Singapore organises a retreat for members to rediscover, renew and revitalise their faith during Catholic200SG.

OYP: 200 for 200 Faith Stories

Office for Young People gathers 200 stories of faith by youths and young adults.

SFX Church: CNY Orange Bags

The Church of St. Francis Xavier gives blessed oranges to its parishioners in special edition Catholic200SG orange carriers.

OFC: Celebrating Singapore’s Church History

The Office For Catechesis develops a three-session elective to help participants discover more about our local Church history and relive our Catholic heritage in celebration of Catholic200SG.

FCC: Women’s Pilgrimage

The Francophone (French-speaking) Catholic Community organises a walk from the Cathedral of the Good Shepherd to St. Patrick’s School, in memory of the five IJ sisters who came in 1854.

AH: Lent at Assisi

Assisi Hospice remembers the heritage of the early missionaries that came to Singapore by calling for support in its mission of journeying with patients and their loved ones.

CatholicSG Radio: IGNITE! Talks

CatholicSG Radio has been broadcasting the various Catholic200SG happenings. It is producing a special series of 7 Ignite! talks on Catholic200SG themes. Each talk will feature a priest in conversation with Andre Achak on what it means to be a Catholic in Singapore today, and where the Church is going. Catch them on the airwaves.

JYS: Crucis Singapura

Jesus Youth Singapore organises a 4-day Lenten reflection and worship to partake in the Lord’s passion before entering the Holy Week.

In addition to a dedicated page for Catholic200SG, Catholic News covers its activities. It also runs article series related to the 200th anniversary celebrations, including one on the historical milestones of the Catholic Church in Singapore.
