We have been hearing more and more concerned voices about environmental damage and its impact on the most vulnerable persons.
In the words of Gerard Manley Hopkins, an English poet and Jesuit priest, “the world is charged with the grandeur of God”. The community to which we belong is larger than the community of the Church. It is larger than the community of humanity. It is a community that embraces the entire universe coming forth from the single Creator. We have more brothers and sisters than we might ever realise! As long as we are in this world, we are surrounded by signs and examples of God’s goodness and generosity. But that means we have also been given responsibilities.
Let us come together to find out more on how we can live justly and sustainably with respect for God’s gifts.
Join us as we consider how the Church is reading the signs of the times and how we can respond with faith together as Church today.
